Growing up, my family believed in the traditional path: study hard, get a stable, high-paying job, and achieve financial security. I followed this path, pursuing a medical career, but felt burnt out and unfulfilled. A chance suggestion by an Englishman to try backpacking changed everything. At first, I hesitated, but he offered to pay for my flight, and I took the leap—despite my family’s disapproval. Within days of traveling, I felt liberated. I was free to explore, learn, and live on my terms. My curiosity led me to study how people live, how food is made, how governments function, and how chaos and probabilities shape the world. Travel has taught me more than textbooks ever could, and I now see working remotely as an opportunity to expand my understanding of the world while living a life filled with meaning.
